Who is behind Four All Ice Cream?


Ajoa, Owner and Chief Ice Cream Maker, created Four All with the dream of making hand-crafted ice cream using all-natural, locally-sourced ingredients in order to provide a better choice for all ice cream lovers who want to indulge in a sweet treat without compromise to their well-being.

Her obsession with hand-crafted ice cream began during a heatwave in August 2003 when, instead of an air-conditioner she bought an ice cream machine.  Not only did she save money, the ice cream from the little machine was so good!  Fast forward to now, tons of ice cream experiments later, we're making the best possible ice cream we can in Kitchener-Waterloo.

How does Four All Ice Cream make better ice cream?

We start our ice cream with fresh, all-natural, local Guernsey cow milk from Eby Manor farm, combined with local cream.  To get the freshest, richest flavour we pasteurize our ice cream base ourselves in small batches at our Kitchener facility; which will most likely be the smallest dairy plant in Ontario (400 square feet)! From there we combine local and/or responsibly sourced ingredients from small farmers, bean-to-bar chocolate makers, small-batch coffee roasters, and local distillers and brewers in order to achieve robust, full, deep flavour profiles - which are best described as "tasting deliciously real". 

Four All Ice Cream is better because through our partnerships with local farmers, producers & other small-batch manufacturers we create fresh and seasonal flavours that support local and showcase the best of Kitchener-Waterloo region.

What's with the name Four All? Does it mean anything?


The name Four All is inspired by Ajoa's family of four's ice cream preferences.  Her husband is into classic time-tested flavours, like a creamy vanilla.  Her oldest daughter's milk sensitivities has her reaching for vegan or dairy-free options; raspberry sorbet is a favourite.  Her youngest daughter always chooses flavours that are reminiscent of childhood; mint chip for example. While Ajoa's tastes veer towards foodie flavours inspired by interesting culinary combinations, like whiskey, caramel with spiced pecans.  In dreaming up new flavours to satisfy all four of them the name Four All Ice Cream was born.  

Being mindful to ensure there would always be a choice for all ice cream lovers, four flavour categories were created: CLASSIC - Timeless. Understated. Constant., VEGAN - Mindful and Delightful, CHILDHOOD - Throwback Goodness, FOODIE - Adventures in Ice Cream.
