Tasty Tip: Apple Pie Oatmeal & Salted Caramel Swirl

What's more comforting than a hot apple dessert and scoops of ice cream?

 

What you need:

  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons apple pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 & 2/3 cups Eby Manor milk 
  • 3 medium apples peeled and finely chopped 
  • scoops of our Salted Caramel Swirl ice cream

 

What to do with it all:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300
  2. Whisk oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, spice and salt together in a large bowl 
  3. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs and 1 cup milk until blended
  4. Add the wet ingredients to the oat mixture, stirring to combine just until moistened then fold in the chopped apples
  5. Transfer to a baking dish and bake in the oven at 300 for 1 hour
  6. Stir in the remaining milk and serve warm with scoops of our Salted Caramel Swirl on top ice cream
